School Concept
HPC International School is an authorized IB World School (authorized by the International Baccalaureate World Organization) with above-average standards that are regularly evaluated. The IB Diploma Program is recognized worldwide and is equivalent to the German Abitur. Our school follows a bilingual concept, so classes are also held in English. The "German Language and Literature" course qualifies native German speakers for the bilingual IB Diploma. In addition to German as a foreign language, our students can also learn Spanish and Chinese (at differentiated levels).
Our campus is located in the south of Heidelberg, close to the city centre and with good public transportation connections.

Our students are part of our strong and international school community and actively engage in social learning, based on the values of the International Baccalaureate. Our students and teachers come from all over the world and learn with and from each other.

Like in a family, every member of the school community (parents/guardians, students, teachers and non-teaching staff) contributes to the success of our school according to their own abilities, experiences and talents. Our school life reflects open communication based on mutual understanding and respect.

International-mindedness means we seek a wider perspective. We develop international-mindedness in every single lesson and in each extracurricular activity. Through age-appropriate activities, students learn how their actions in local contexts will lead to global impacts. We are active members of the IB World community and collaborate with partner schools all over the world.

All members of our school community are lifelong learners, grow for the future and become balanced, responsible and reflective learners as well as critical thinkers. We accompany our students on their life journey and during the transition to university with career counselling.
